Casting Call/ Open Auditions: for the dream job of a lifetime in South Florida

We are looking for male and female actors ages 15 and older for our innovative, interactive theater program. Our mission is to utilize The ARTS for social change. Participants must be 15 years of age or older with valid identification. There is no age cap on participation. All individuals under 18 must have signed parental consent.

If you’re interested in becoming a change maker /actor please send electronic resume with headshot and reel / video (maximum 3 minutes) to casting@ARTfusionInc.org.

Submission Deadline: 5pm April 25, 2013 (No Exceptions).

Finalist will be required to do an in person audition on May 2, 2013.

Theatrical Fusion engages the audience in ways beyond traditional lecture-style presentations and uses The Arts as a vehicle for community building, education and social change. The goal is provide “edutainment” and help members of the community make choices that will positively impact their lives.

Wardrobe/ Make-up/ Hair for Open Call:
We want you to look your best; this is shooting as present day Miami. Bring your high class party outfits! This is not Miami Vice.
We want Miami to look as gorgeous and real as it does TODAY. Bring a variety of outfits (or pictures of you in a variety of outfits) to be photographed.
If you are comfortable to be on screen in a bathing suit, please bring it along and be prepared to have a reference photo taken.
Please arrive with make-up and hair ready.
Bring headshots if you have them (If you don’t, it’s OK!), and a pen. Please know your wardrobe sizes (height, waist, inseam, shoe, etc.).
ALL extra positions are paid positions.
IT is STRONGLY suggested to attend the open call for immediate work!

MUSICAL AUDITION NOTICE
A new musical by Arts at St. Johns, THE HISTORY OF MIAMI BEACH “WISH YOU WERE HERE” is NOW looking for triple threats= singer/actor/dancers, Male and Female all ages.
AUDITIONS: Friday, February 5 from 1-3 pm
at St. Johns Church
4760 Pine Tree Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33140
PREPARE: 16 bars of two songs – one up tempo, one ballad in Musical Theater style, AND a 1 minute monologue
CALLBACKS: TBA
DECENT PAY: You must be able to SING and ACT and DANCE WELL
The more styles you know, the better- this is a very versatile show.
Show runs on Miami Beach with performances on March 18,19,20,21.
Rehearsals begin end of February – Flexible schedule.

Progressive Insurance is inviting people to try out for a chance to appear alongside Flo, Progressive’s helpful insurance expert, in a national ad.

“Flo-helper-hopefuls” can try out in-person at events across the country or online at www.helpflo.com from January 25 through March 21. In-person try outs will be held in Miami at the Miami Design Preservation League on Thursday, February 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Entrants will be judged on a variety of criteria including their overall appeal and how engaging they are, camera presence, and originality. Visit the Web site for the Official Rules.

SoBe Arts Fall Education Program 2009 (arts education programs, workshops, classes & lessons) is for children, teens and adults (Sept. 7 – Jan. 15).

SoBe Arts Professional Theater Productions (3) are planned for the 2009/10 Season. SoBe Arts is located in the historic Carl Fisher Clubhouse and Little Stage Theater Complex on Miami Beach.

[SoBe Arts Fall Program for Youth & Teens; Program Manager: Carson Kievman, former composer/stage director-in-residence, Joseph Papp's Public Theater/New York Shakespeare Festival. Theater for Youth classes will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30-6:00PM. Theater/Acting for Adults classes Tuesday Evenings 6:30pm-8:30pm. Students work with theater professionals and will received intensive training in acting as well as creating sets and costumes, designing and working lights and sound... and finally perform in an end of semester production.]
