What is Life Is Art?

Life Is Art is a south-Florida based non-profit corporation founded in January of 2009. The goal is to build the community through cultural infrastructure. We do this primarily through the production of arts events: Art Shows, Fairs, Parties, Showcases, Networkers, Seminars, Workshops and more targeted at supporting south Florida artists and arts professionals. We provide opportunities for artists to grow and share their work, as well as learn about the business of being an artist and how to better make a living at what they love.

Over the past few years, Life Is Art has produced or co-produced over 60 events introducing hundreds of artists to thousands of new fans and patrons, as well as supporting local businesses and providing education to burgeoning artists. We provide opportunities for artists to grow and share their work, as well as learn about the business of being an artist and how to better make a living at what they love. We support the community and economy by creating social offerings for the residents.

Who is Life Is Art?

Life Is Art is the brainchild of James Echols, Annette Peikert and R. E. Sanchez, all of whom believed that more attention needed to be paid to the exploding artistic talent in and around south Florida. It was founded by a group of friends who included Soozin Lewis, Adriana De Welde and Talmage Thornhill. Along the way, more people were added to the team, Emmy Acosta, Mark Whitlock, Erick Carillo and Aaron Feld. This team of dedicated art lovers work tirelessly to promote and support the south Florida arts community. All of them are currently volunteers. All work regular, full-time jobs. To the team, Life Is Art represents a labor of love and hope for the future.
